About the ExtruMed Acquisition
In March 2009 Vesta acquired ExtruMed LLC, expanding our manufacturing services to include thermoplastic extrusion solutions. Combining forces was a logical business decision, as the two companies offer complementary services and share a strong commitment to quality. Our customers benefit from our combined resources, including a wider range of polymer extrusion capabilities and broader national customer support.
Since its founding in 1989, ExtruMed established an outstanding reputation for precision and superior customer service. As a portfolio company of Inverness Graham Investments and Wedbush Capital Partners, ExtruMed became the largest independent manufacturer of precision thermoplastic tubing for diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices and procedures. Now, as a part of Vesta, ExtruMed continues to attract medical device manufacturers who seek comprehensive services and support for their extruded components.
Following the acquisition, Vesta combined all of its extrusion offerings under the ExtruMed™ name. Clients now look to Vesta for ExtruMed precision extrusion solutions of thermoplastics and silicone. Vesta performs these silicone extrusions at its Wisconsin facility, as well as the thermoplastic services at its ExtruMed locations in California.
The joining of Vesta and ExtruMed has been virtually seamless. The combined team works together to care for the life of every product we help our customers launch.
