Vesta Announces Silicone Kink-Resistant Tubing Manufacturing Capabilities
Vesta is pleased to announce the introduction of a new technology to produce medical-grade silicone kink-resistant tubing, adding to its long list of ExtruMed precision extrusion solutions. The new technology represents a significant improvement over current manufacturing methods as a result of its proprietary manufacturing platform, enabling the creation of kink-resistant tubing in an integrated manufacturing process.

Frost & Sullivan has awarded Vesta the 2009 North American Plastics in Medical Tubing & Catheters Market Competitive Strategy Leadership of the Year Award in recognition of Vesta’s strategies to increase its customer value and market share.

Vesta Announces Facility Expansion
To improve the value of the Vesta offering for customers, the company is expanding its facility in Franklin, Wis. The project will nearly double the existing manufacturing space. Planned features include the new Vesta Innovations Center, which offers customers assistance with design for manufacturability; dedicated final packaging lines; and enhanced manufacturing areas that incorporate lean and cellular concepts. Vesta plans to complete the expansion soon.

Acquisition to Broaden Vesta's Outsourcing Capabilities
RoundTable Healthcare Partners (“RoundTable”), an operating-oriented private equity firm focused exclusively on the healthcare industry, announced today that its portfolio company, Vesta Inc. (“Vesta”), a leading supplier of silicone medical products to the OEM medical device industry, has completed the acquisition of ExtruMed LLC (“ExtruMed”), a portfolio company of Inverness Graham Investments and Wedbush Capital Partners.

Vesta Named the Industry’s Second-Largest Milwaukee-Area Firm
The Business Journal of Milwaukee has named Vesta the second-largest bioscience and medical technology firm in the Milwaukee area. The complete list of the 25 largest firms appeared in The Business Journal on September 26, 2008.
Vesta credits its ranking to steady growth brought on through its long-term commitment to quality, the medical device industry and ongoing, company-wide enhancements. Since its founding, Vesta has continuously improved its manufacturing methods and broadened its support services in order to better serve its customers. Most recently, the company has invested in new equipment and augmented its team domestically as well as internationally. With the growth trend expected to continue, Vesta is expanding its facility in 2009.
